Belgium’s King Albert II announces abdication - July 2013

Belgium’s King Albert II on Wednesday announced he will abdicate the throne in favor of his son, Crown Prince Phillipe. the move makes the Belgian king the second monarch this year to hand over power to the nexr generation.
King Albert II, 79, announced the decision in a televised statement on Wednesday, explaining that he will end his 20-year reign because of his age and health issues.
“I realise that my age and my health are no longer allowing me to carry out my duties as I would like to,” he said in his address.
“Prince Philippe is well prepared to succeed me.”
King Albert’s announcement comes only three months after Queen Beatrix of the neighbouring Netherlands vacated the Dutch throne in favour of her son Willem-Alexander. While Beatrix followed the tradition set by her mother and grandmother, abdications are not normal in Belgium.
While King Albert II’s abdication may have been a shock for many, rumors of the announcement swirled for weeks before it happened.
Royal scandal
In January, the Belgian king’s sister-in-law, Queen Fabiola, was accused of trying to hide some of her fortune from being part of an inheritance tax. And just a few weeks ago, Delphine Boël asked the court to order the king and two of his children to give DNA samples. Boël claims she is the king’s daughter, born after an alleged affair between King Albert II and an aristocrat, Boël’s mother. There is some speculation in the media that this may have influenced his decision to abdicate.

As you grapple with the answers to these questions, you may feel a sense of even more unrest. And sometimes it may appear as though there really aren’t any answers. The flip side of this is when you receive information about something you are to do, and then you are puzzled when opportunities to do that thing fail to materialize.

We’ve passed the half way mark of 2013.  In general it has not been the easiest of years.  The first half of the year was about releasing and refinement.  The things that weren’t in balance with the new influx of Light on 12/21/12 were coming up for release at a rapid pace.  It was shocking to many that expected utopia after 12/21/12, but for those that Know within that All is Well, while it may have been frustrating, it was certainly worth it.  The numerology of the year is a 6, so it’s about balancing.  Technically, all of life is about balancing as homeostasis is the action of life – new experience, integration, movement to new experience, integration, etc.  Each of your cells does this constantly.  You also do this mentally and emotionally as you seek peace with each new moment.  From that balanced state of peace you make choice and build new life.

CHOOSING THOUGHTS, BALANCING EMOTIONS, DIRECTING INTENTION

Being a conscious creator requires that we are aware of the thoughts that live in our minds, the emotions that stay in our bodies, and the intentions that drive our will. In order to do this, we must move beyond being dependent on others and take full responsibility for the life that we have created. Too often, when we are embroiled in the day-to-day fight for survival, it is difficult to observe ourselves with any degree of objectivity. Our victim self becomes so busy feeling sorry for itself that we cannot see the forest for the many trees that are blocking the way. Therefore, we must climb the steps that symbolize the three phases of being conscious so that we can observe ourselves from the perspective of a mature, dependable leader rather than a frightened victim.

What is Consciousness

DEFINING CONSCIOUSNESS

Webster�s New World Dictionary of the American Language defines consciousness as: �the state of being conscious; awareness, especially of what is happening around you; and the totality of one�s thoughts, feelings, and impressions.� Consciousness, therefore, encompasses our external as well as our internal reality. Cognitive science defines consciousness as a phenomenon that is explained in terms of computational or neural mechanisms such as:

The ability to discriminate, categorize, and react to environmental stimuli

The ability to access internal stimuli

The integration of information by a cognitive system

The focus of attention

The difference between wakefulness and sleep

The deliberate control of behavior

The Western world is more apt to define consciousness as the ability to be aware of external events that are recognized by the five physical senses. On the other hand, the Eastern world is more inclined to say that one is a conscious being if one has the ability to be aware of inner events that are recognized by our higher sense organs.

In response to your question “I am curious – can you say what the symbols were or what they mean and how they are used?”
Well, I can and I can’t, to say what the symbols were, some of them I know what they were and why they are there, others, I know them when I see them and also know how to use them.
First: 1 set of the symbols were those of the zodiac, but not as we know them, but their astrological star constellations.  Whether some want to believe it, those symbols do have a correlation to events or occurrences that have or will happen on this earth or in an individual’s life.  It is really more complex than even some astrologers have ever delved into.
Second: Another set of the symbols pertain to the healing art of Reiki as we call it here.  I know all of the symbols, and how to use them, as I’m also a Reiki Master.  I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but some of these “new” symbols that Reiki Organizations have come out with are nothing but marks, they do nothing.

The director and deputy director of the Vatican bank have resigned following the arrest of a senior Italian cleric over corruption and fraud allegations.

Paolo Cipriani and Massimo Tulli offered to step down on Monday "in the best interest of the institute and the Holy See'', the Vatican says.
It comes three days after the arrest of Monsignor Nunzio Scarano.
The 61-year-old and two others are suspected of trying to move 20m euros ($26m; £17m) illegally.
Monsignor Scarano, a priest from southern Italy, worked for years as a senior accountant for a Vatican department known as Apsa (the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See).
He has been under investigation by Italian police for a series of suspicious transactions involving the recycling through the Vatican bank of a series of cheques described as church donations.
The two other men arrested on 28 July have been named as Giovanni Maria Zito, who is described as an Italian secret service agent, and Giovanni Carenzio, a financial broker.
Secretive Ernst von Freyberg, the current president of the bank, would serve as its interim director, taking over from Mr Cipriani, a Vatican statement said.
A new position of chief risk officer would also be created to improve compliance with financial regulations.
Last week, Pope Francis set up a commission of inquiry to look into the bank, which has been beset by allegations of money laundering for decades. He had already named a trusted cleric to oversee the way the institution had been managed.
Officially known as the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), the bank is one of the world's most secretive. It has 114 employees and 5.4bn euros of assets.
The scandal is an embarrassment to the Vatican with Pope Francis campaigning for the Catholic Church to be closer to the people of the developing world.
Some churchmen are even questioning whether the Vatican needs its own bank, BBC Rome correspondent David Willey reports.
