Lena Stevens - Pat Liles - New Moon Update 11-29-16 - November 28, 2016
Dear Friends,
New Moon is Tuesday, November 29 at 5:18AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
This is an important moon for building community, sharing yourself with others and not holding back on your unique self-expression. It is a good day to anchor a commitment to learn something new or to pursue a new area of interest or a new relationship. Anything that you put into motion today gets some juice for gathering support.
It is not a day to be alone, secretive or asocial. Share yourself and enjoy the company of others even if it is just reaching out for a few moments.
The other theme for this new moon is making a commitment to follow your own truth and integrity. You cannot do much about how others believe or act but you can do something about how you live your own life and what you do to take care of what is important to you. The times are calling for us all to step up onto a road of higher consciousness. What does that mean for each of us? In the bigger picture, time will tell, but you can always start at home by taking care of your own spirit and body, stepping into a higher level of commitment to your personal integrity and eliminating fear and negativity whenever possible.
Blessings, Lena

Sagittarius New Moon
Sun and Moon in Sagittarius ~ 8º
Tuesday, November 29, 5:18 AM Mountain Time
(November 29, 2016 12:18 PM Greenwich Mean Time)
The Moon cycles dark, and we begin again, this time drawing down the rays of a Sagittarian perspective. Now a fire element guides us – one of great optimism, exploration and mature wisdom. Sagittarius helps us explore the far horizon, see beyond what’s right in front of us, find what is true and constant. The exploration is both inner and outer, so here we have both the seeker and philosopher and the traveler and global citizen. Sagittarius is where we distill our moral and ethical principles from the Truth we perceive. We have a pointed emphasis in this area with Saturn, our teacher, Lord of Karma, also in Sagittarius until the end of 2017. A moral and spiritual awakening among us is beyond germinating and is thriving and feeling its purpose ever more clearly. Are you feeling pushed to take a stand for what is morally and ethically right? (Did Saturn just cross the rising sign of the USA last month and push us forward in that direction?) Are citizens going to have to get disciplined to do what’s ‘right’ to protect the principles of democracy, the earth itself, to hear the voices of the people, to serve and protect where needed? Saturn seems to think so. It may also be pushing you to take care of yourself in ways you never were able to see before. Speaking up for those parts of your self that have not had a voice before.
Asteroid Juno is exactly conjunct the Sun and Moon for New Moon. She will not be ignored. She’s the goddess of committed relationship and partnership. She’s the face of the dance of the masculine and feminine archetypes seeking to relate, come into balance, share power, learn to do the two-step of give and take. So, with Saturn and Mercury also in Sagittarius in this cycle, we will be looking at how we relate to one another, why we treat others the way we do, how do our culture, religion, education, laws (all Sag ruled) dictate how we relate to each other and hold us separate from the diversity and acceptance that comes so easily to the Sagittarian nature.
The Sun, Moon and Juno exactly square the North and South Nodes that represent what we seek to heal that is brought from the past (South) and where we need to grow and stretch ourselves and work our edge to evolve (North). With square aspects, you’re working that Crisis/Opportunity axis so you have to make a choice for how you’re going to direct your mind-tool to serve your heart. We might see struggle rise up at this Moon or feel the two extremes of the letting go and cutting new ground magnified or feel them simultaneously. Use Sagittarius’ medicine of optimistic and positive attitude to open up to the delight of the new, different, foreign. You might be called to explore, wander, and find adventure in the outer world or perhaps in the inner world of dreams and visions.
Saturn in a fire sign (Sag) will be trining Uranus (Aries) for the next year. Trines are helpful, beneficial aspects – fire signs like to work together to inspire, activate, burn off, bring light and enthusiasm, fill us with self-confidence and spirit. Uranus adds the element of liberation and the chaos of breaking of the old in unexpected ways to let in more light. Fire will give us resilience and a positive attitude and Saturn will temper the chaos and get us organized and disciplined to animate our visions. These will be our tools in the coming months.
But we owe at least a few words to when Sag goes extreme and hits that negative polarity. When we get lost in the deluded righteousness of our vision, what do we get? Fanaticism, aggression, an all-consuming reckless destruction. But that’s the extreme. Let’s work for balance here, people. You know the high side of Sag, the enthusiasm, inclusiveness, truthfulness, the moral high ground, so you know the antidote.
Jupiter is the natural ruler of the Sagittarius influences we feel so strongly – Jupiter is in Libra, a sign of cooperation, harmonious relations, tactful negotiations. Jupiter/Zeus, the King of the Gods, is about expansion/abundance, trust and finding the wisdom that leads to governing wisely. But one behavior always sure to get Zeus/Jupiter riled up was challenging the authority of the established law. It was his duty to hold it all together, so putting oneself above the ‘law’ (think: of the natural world, spiritual laws, common decency, etc.) just might find some wrathful consequences coming your way. Ask Prometheus….
Same with humans at this crossroads in our evolution. We are not above laws of the natural world or laws of karma or of physics – ‘for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction’ (I think Bob Dylan said that or maybe Newton).
With Jupiter as ruler here, it bears mentioning that Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus and whoever is traveling with them is involved in a powerful, on-going T-Square formation extending through next year. I won’t bore you with the details here, but it bears rereading the section on The Power Path’s website of last Full Moon’s report titled:
“Jupiter square Pluto/Jupiter opposing Uranus 2016-17”
if you want to hold a complete picture of why you’re getting your ass handed to you as well as why you are going to expanded realms of gratitude all at the same time!
This is the time frame where we take the accelerated elevator to more awakened consciousness on the planet. As Sag would say, ‘Enjoy the ride, what’s not to like!
