This is truly an intense and possibly highly emotional time that will trigger and push everything to the edge and beyond. Instead of retreating or freezing up in fear and terror, go out and become part of the storm. Harness the tremendous energy that has the potential to feed your creativity and dreams in ways you could never have imagined.Stay away from drama that is not yours, as there will be some out there that react to this level of energy by projecting it into negativity and fear. Keep your frequency high (This month’s Mp3 is helpful), and always turn your focus towards the truth of what works for you. This full moon and eclipse triggers a two week time frame of revolutionary intensity that can either propel you into radical transformation or have you falling off the three-legged stool. Your ability to pay attention, and to stay focused and present while also allowing yourself to grab the power of the storm, will be key to staying firmly on the stool.

Aries Full Moon 15º~ Total Lunar Eclipse

Energy! So much energy is available this month! Intensity is fueled by a variety of cosmic events. It’s as if the universe is saying, “You’re getting very adept at handling, shift, change, growth, and upset, so let’s try some multiple alignments, eclipses and retrogrades and have some real fun!” How do we learn? By being stretched out of our comfort zones where we’re squealing with fear and delight. Let’s look at the month’s influences as a whole:
-Mercury retrograde Oct. 4-25
As October begins, Mercury has already come to a slow standstill at 2º Scorpio until it begins a seeming reverse path on Saturday, Oct 4. On Oct 10, it re-enters Libra, so we have a combination of desire from Scorpio for truthful, meaningful connection that takes us deep and clears the air and Libra’s need for balance, clarity and love that keeps relationship harmonious. With Mercury in a tense aspect to Juno, ruler of committed relationship, we will be lead to look inward for why our relationships may not be working in a satisfying way. Are we getting projected upon by our partners or is there some truth that we are sitting on and needs to be diplomatically expressed or even explosively expressed just to get things out in the open? Mercury will want to express what is hidden and secretly motivating our behaviors. Denial is not going to be any match for the overall amount of energy here to clear obstacles and move life forward. -Grand Trine in Fire Signs – 14-17º
This beautiful energy fills us with inspiration, enthusiasm, and a desire to realize our full expression and identity. Fire gifts us more access to courage, assertiveness, spontaneity, passion, creativity and joy, but out of balance it can be aggressive, irritated, bitter, manic and overwhelming – a fire out of control! Burned out!
But luckily, the three fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are in a harmonious, supportive relationship and all working well together to light our fire and after burner. The planets in these signs, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars are all about action and expansion as well.
Uranus, extremely active in this chart because it sits right on the Aries Full Moon, is known for its propensity to bring sudden, unpredictable disruption and shift in life’s circumstances (just when you thought you had it all under control…). And if that isn’t operative, Uranus likes to work through liberation or inspiring revelation and discovery. Uranus can be quirky, eccentric and unconventional and, Spirit help us!, it’s sitting right on the Full Moon ready to make us all a little wacky and wanting our freedom.
Jupiter, on the other hand, expands, exaggerates, and makes more abundant whatever it comes in contact with, and in Leo, it’s all about expressing our selves in a BIG way. Jupiter isn’t all show. This jovial one also seeks the understanding and wisdom of life asking just what is the meaning of life and what is my purpose, and from this questing comes our morality, beliefs and ethics to guide us. Fortunately, Jupiter, and especially in heart-centered Leo, is optimistic and full of faith and hope about our trajectory.
And then there’s Mars in the Fire Grand Trine, our warrior nature, pure power and force and impulse of desire. The drive and energy to put thought into action. Mars in Sagittarius has great inner certainty and independence and loves to throw his weight behind a just and meaningful cause. Here is an opportunity to evolve the Spiritual Warrior in all of us healing and balancing our active, showing-up-in-the-world energies especially with the aspect of opportunity between Mars and Venus-Sun.
This powerful, energetic fireball of a Grand Trine is directly tied in to the Full Moon axis of Self and Other through chart ruler, Mars.
-T-Square with Uranus/Pluto
Uranus and Pluto are pulling back into alignment for their 6th pass of seven in mid-December. A strong T-Square formation exists with the Full Moon in Aries opposite the Sun in Libra and Pluto at 90º square angles to both ends of this opposition. Tense. Pluto is pulling patterns from very deep inside us (distant past, deeply hidden). Disruptive Wile E. Coyote Uranus sits with the Full Moon in Aries and opposite the Sun is weighted with Venus very near by. So, one might say, anything can happen via the Feminine with the pressure of the Aires/Libra Full Moon eclipse axis also aligned with the North and South Nodes and relentless Pluto insisting we transform and compost what is holding us to our old structures. Our clarity of our personal power is evolving; feminine power is unfolding; masculine power is becoming balanced, supportive, and protective. Are you willing to let go of your ‘poor me’ song, your victimization by your horrible circumstance, your ‘it’s just not fairness’? That’s what this kind of chart is beckoning you towards ~ Big gains from big, deep letting go. We’ve had chances like this before, like last April, and we will get chances again without a doubt. But it’s difficult to even tell you of all the confluence of alignments here. Oh yes, I haven’t even mentioned the eclipses yet….
-Eclipses!
Eclipses always come in pairs – a lunar and a solar, sometimes there’s even three together. When the paths of the Sun, Moon and Earth are in exact alignment, we experience eclipses. Our lunar/solar pair this month is visible throughout North America and suggests its strongest influence will also be there. Eclipses mean re-set! And download! Especially true with solar eclipses (October 23, partial visible in North America) where we are able to complete old business and begin afresh. So, the weeks surrounding the eclipses, almost the whole month of October are extremely rarified with shifts and upgrades OR exacerbated stuckness. Pick your medicine. There’ll be multiple points where we can choose riding the top of the wave or being under the wave.
With so much energy available, it’s important to keep reassuring and comforting your body. When an overload of emotional, psychic, frenetic or zingy energy is coursing through you, use the body to ground it into the physical dimensions. Keep the energy moving. This is very fiery, masculine juice that needs to be constructively channeled.
