Dear Friends,
Watch for misguided aggression and fiery overreactions. Be the neutral observer instead of getting into the fray. This is a good day to put some boundaries around your newly birthed self and spend some time by yourself and way from reactivity and judgment. Use the fiery potent energy to vitalize your own intentions and fill up the spaces that are now free as a result of what you have surrendered. Work with the sun and be out in nature.

Virgo Full Moon
Sun in Pisces ~ Moon in Virgo 22º

We’re still tuned to the dream channel with many planets in Pisces. We feel pulled into the rapture of the deep. It’s easier to surrender to the non-linear, the poetic during this watery time at the end of the zodiac cycle. The web easily opens to include life in all its manifestation and your heart expands and opens to hold it all. The call to join together is stronger than ever before ~ no resistance is Pisces’ gift, dissolving barriers is the way. The Virgo Full Moon rolls into opposition to the Sun reflecting back to us the question of just how are we bringing that soaring, transcendent energy into our daily, work-a-day lives. Some in the North feel the urge to clear debris from the winter nest to be ready for the upward surge of spring. Regardless of hemisphere, this month is filled with the dynamicism of the coming of the equinox – the balancing of light and dark, when the Sun is at the midpoint of its extremes.
The bigger picture for this month no matter if you look at this Full Moon on the 12th, the Equinox 20th or the coming New Moon 27th all these charts are framed by the larger social-political forces of the square between Uranus and Pluto being triggered by Jupiter. This configuration spans from last fall 2016 into August/September 2017. March holds the second of the three exact passes (August/September the last pass).
Now that Jupiter has opposed Uranus (and Eris) on March 3rd, Jupiter now goes on to square Pluto (March 30th). And the whole while, Vesta turns the T-Square into a Grand Square. There’s tension afoot, we’re being pushed to change, we are right in the midst of dissolving and creating. The challenges are fundamental to our belief systems (thanks to Saturn in Sagittarius, the sign of our beliefs, concepts, philosophies, laws, and global interconnections), and Saturn traverses some potent ground as it journeys past the black hole of the Galactic Center of the Milky Way downloading the next template for evolving. Vesta wants to know what ideals are we willing to commit to; can we focus our inner heart beam through our work and manifest and contribute to something we believe in? Are we dedicated to our spiritual awakening and inviting the invisible world into our lives? How ready are we to trade trust, faith, cooperation for material goods, competition, profit and domination?
Full Moon
The Pisces Sun is conjunct Pallas Athena, Chiron, and Mercury. The Moon opposes them all. Mercury is ruler here and is exactly square Saturn. Mercury is of the mind, mental, how we communicate, process information, perceive what’s around us, make connections. It rules thinking, speaking, writing, networking. Saturn says, ‘get disciplined with your mind’. Pallas and Chiron work together as powerful healing agents with lightning insights, clarity and support for bridging into new mental states and habits. We’re waking up to healing our minds of the ‘programs running in the background’. It takes discipline and a watchful eye to see where we are unconsciously reinforcing our self-worth in a negative way. This lineup is a perfect opportunity to do some mental housekeeping and tidying and integrate new habits with the analytical, discriminating, and orderly support of a Virgo Full Moon. The intimacy of the body-mind relationship is likely to be called into play, so better perhaps to discipline the mind than play it out in the body. Be aware of the body’s communication though, where it needs attention and appreciation to better integrate all the powerful changes going on at every level now. Pisces asks, ‘can you open your heart to all the fear and all the joy – no judgment, full acceptance of what is?’
Venus
Venus, Goddess of Love and Beauty, has begun her trip to the underworld as of March 4th when she began her retrograde motion. For months she has been so bright as the beautiful ‘evening star’, but now she goes into transformation and emerges as the ‘morning star’ visible just before the Sun rises near the end of the month. In Aries, she is in her warrior valence – the feminine may be on the march to show strength; in retrograde, more healing from the past and she may be bringing forward relationship issues or people from long ago.
In a Venus retrograde period as we are forced to slow and gain a different perspective, we reassess what we love, what we value, what brings us pleasure, what we are attracting, what are our true resources and assets, what needs to find new balance. It can be a time of taking a good look at our long-range financial situation and setting some goals. Acknowledge what you are attracting in your life. If you want more of that, fill your heart with gratitude and send it out to Spirit for fulfilling your desires and taking such good care of you. If you’re not attracting all your heart desires, take this Venus retrograde period to realign with what you love and truly value. Don’t let over-spending or over indulgence replace taking a deeper look at what your love and beauty quotient is adding up to. Are you neglecting beauty, creativity or social intimacy for work? Finding your voice as a feminine warrior or as a champion of the feminine may be the antidote to the angry and anxious confusion that exists for some in this time of change.
New Moon in Aries – March 27th
By the end of the month, we have entered a new and exciting frame with the Sun moving into Aries on the 20th at equinox. Now fire rules; inspiration and action are the new reality. Mercury has joined Uranus (and Eris) in Aries like the Sun and Moon, Venus too. Courage and self-awareness are strengthened. We’re taking more steps into the land of adventure, enthusiasm arises spontaneously, and we notice and are buoyed up and follow the lead. Aries wants adventure, movement, stimulation, something to push against. Mars, ruler of Aries, has moved on to Taurus and is now a seeker of peace, has some patience as to how things are unfolding, enjoys the rewards of being dependable and trustworthy. Our own resourcefulness – combining what’s at hand in a new way brings fulfillment and satisfaction. Venus and Mars are in each other’s signs (mutual reception) so they support each other. Venus, our feminine, becomes more assertive, and Mars, our masculine, becomes more cooperative.
It’s a dynamic and transitional month fill it with loving kindness, contemplation, and spirited embracing of all that is new and inclusive. ‘We know who we are. We know what we are. We know how we serve’. *
