Hello friends. We have found our way to the Sun/Moon in Virgo and soon to be summer’s end. I personally am glad to see it get more in the rearview as this has been my first in a place with a hot climate. August is often a powerful month of movement and change and this year not only was no exception, it was a year that we all collectively took it up a notch. The 8:8/Lionsgate was unlike anything I have experienced since I have been researching and tracking them since 2010, and for many it’s been an intensity overload. The quieter, more grounded Virgo energies for many will be most welcome.
Sabian Symbol for 2 degrees of Virgo: A large white cross dominates the landscape. I also felt it was indicated to include the symbol for 3 Virgo: Two Guardian angels bring protection. The window” of the New Moon will also include this additional degree.
Though this may have a traditional religious connotation, I also saw it to represent something more. The Cross and Guardian Angels are both symbols of divine protection for human beings; the “Cross” is used as a symbol of protection against Vampires and other nefarious night creatures. Angels besides offering protection, also bring gifts of healing and wisdom gained through intuitive or inspirational means. I work with the Angels of the Healing Ray in my own energy healing work, and I have already felt them draw in closer. I feel that others may have similar experiences over the next few days especially. The cross metaphysically is often used to represent the crossing of the earthly and spiritual realms, “As above – so below.” Based on my energetic impressions and also what I have been hearing from some folks, a little divine protection would be graciously accepted right about now. It has not been an easy few weeks, but they *have* been very revelatory, transformative and powerful. It’s not a surprise that we are feeling more than a little road weary, as I like to say. Though I often find the Sabian Symbols to be uncannily accurate, sometimes they “hit” closer than others. This will be one of those times.

For some time now I have been guided to certain “antidotes” and remedies to help balance the energies currently at hand. Interestingly the flower essence remedy that I was given for this New Moon was the “Holly” flower essence, which is one of the traditional Bach Flower Remedies.
When describing this Bach Flower Essence, Edward Bach said: “Holly protects us from everything that is not Universal Love. Holly opens the heart and unites us with Divine Love.” The soul quality of Holly is that which we all desire – the ideal human state. In its positive state, individuals are able to live in inner harmony, taking pleasure in the achievements and successes of others, freely accepting and feeling love that flows toward them, and having a sense for the Divine scheme of things. – bachflower.org
I feel that why this was given as an antidote right now is for the powerfully polarized state of the world right now with the recent issues in Ferguson MO, to the ongoing violence in the Middle East. Keeping holding the Love and Light dear friends and be sure to include yourself, as Virgo energies can be self-sacrificing to an unbalanced level in their shadow. Remember to fill your own cup as well, especially now.
Virgo astrologically rules the midsection, the “gut” and also the third (solar plexus) chakra. Any imbalances here, especially brought on by recent stresses may be more readily known or discovered. Dietary and changes in self-care may be indicated now, along with spiritual practices to “take back one’s power.”
