July is over and we’re in a new month. The year seems to be going by quickly but that’s a product of the energy movements, solar flares, and probably our ongoing lack of sleep. I have been telling you for months that this period would be very volatile and eventful and we are not through it yet, it probably doesn’t end until some time in September.
Meanwhile, I don’t know if you are aware of how many teachers who started at the same time as I did, around 2003, who have passed away. I have heard of a half dozen in the past week, including Karyl Jackson who wrote the Alpha Life Trends newsletter, and Jo Dunning. I shared a few months ago that Karen Bishop died earlier this year. I’m still here even though I have had significant health issues in the past years, any of which could have been my exit point.
I know that when someone’s mission is finished they are free to leave, and so it is for teachers, light workers, and way showers. This month we also have the 8-8 Lion’s Gate and it’s special because we have a triple 8 so this year’s Lion’s Gate event will be extra special.

July is over and we are now entering the 8th month of the year and in an 8 year we have a double 8 numerology (or 16) which creates a 7 vibration. Now 7 is supposed to be the number of introspection, the spiritual quest, contemplation, and inner work. But that’s not what I see for this month. I see the integration of energy downloads from July, intentional action, and new perspectives for our 5D energies – community, connection, creativity, collaboration, and cooperation.
We must be constantly looking for ways to integrate these energies into our lives and as our own 3D paradigms dis-integrate, we must be ready with these 5D energies to replace what is rapidly becoming unsustainable, intolerable, and incapable of energetic connection. How many people do you know experienced relationship endings in July?
I know of several clients and friends who decided that their relationships with certain people or situations were over and they were finished with the pain and challenges they were facing. And they don’t regret their decisions either. They knew it was time and they acted decisively and quickly, something they were not ready to do before. The only thing that changed was the timing – remember July was all about descension, energy coming in to help us move forward in any way we need to so we can live in a more high vibes way.
It’s time for energetic freedom and this is one part of it – releasing ourselves from the relationships and life situations in which we feel that we are in bondage, oppressed, where we are energetically unbalanced, manipulated, used, and unappreciated (except for what we give them). Those days are over and in this new 5D paradigm we simply are not willing to tolerate any kind of behavior that doesn’t support and add to our joy, and that is out of energetic integrity and alignment with us.
If you remember in the 2024 Predictions (you can find them here), I said that starting this year we must make our primary connections energetic, not emotional. We get too stuck into the emotions and then we try to fit the energy around them. This is what attracts us to karmic partners, difficult relationships, and a lot of sadness, grief, and trauma.
If we establish connections based on our energy and make that an absolute priority in all areas of our lives we are going to have much better results and initially far fewer relationships. But if you have been losing friends, relatives, and other connections over the past few years, your friendship dance card is probably already nearly empty, if not completely at zero. Honestly though, if your life is full of people who have been energy drains for years, you’re not missing anything by letting them go.
And in a month that is represented by Leo the lion, that’s a good thing to do. Do you know that the lion represents courage, fearlessness, leadership, authority, and wisdom? The Lion is called the ‘king of the jungle’ and its roar can be heard for 5 miles. The astrology sign of Leo represents creativity, fun, romance, and children, and its ruling planet is the sun.
With all of that energy swirling around us, finding new friends should not be a problem. And with the August energy patterns it will be something we do with confidence and intention.
We have a lot of new energy available to us and one of them is what my guides called the ‘golden light’. A few months ago they told me to stop what I was doing and to prepare to receive the ‘golden light’. It was in the middle of the day and I think I was working so I did as they asked. I had never heard of the ‘golden light’ and had no idea what they were going to do but I know I can trust them and they always give me energy tools that I need.
What they showed me was a spectacular new energy that has remarkable healing and energy expanding powers. And the way we receive it is much different than any other energy I have worked with so far. It is one of the topics that I will be addressing in the 8-8 Lion’s Gate 2024 masterclass on Thursday August 8, 2024. You can register for it at this link. August starts out with a new moon in Leo on the 4th and this one has a wide variety of energies around it . First is its tie to Pluto, still in Aquarius for the month of August, holding that 5D space for us as it has since January 2024. Then we have very helpful and blessed angles to Jupiter and Mars in Gemini, and the nodes in Aries and Libra. We have Venus at 29 Leo, same degree as the 2017 August 21 total eclipse, as it prepares to move into Virgo.
On the day of the new moon Venus moves into Virgo and Mercury goes retro in Virgo hours later. Now this is a very interesting retrograde because while Mercury retrogrades from Virgo back into Leo, Venus will be holding space in Virgo all month. This fits in with August’s energy themes because Virgo is about work and service (and health too). We are choosing between the Martyred Healer and Empowered Mastery, between our karma path or the 5D path of creation, and how we use our energy and allow others to use it (or not).
And we may be getting strong signals or unexpected events to help us do this release work because there is a Venus/Uranus connection all month and that can bring some surprises into the mix so pay attention to what is going on around you. While we like to think of Venus as being all love and light there is a tricky and even sly side to the ‘planet of beauty’ that, above all, does not like her beauty disrupted or taken for granted or taken advantage of.
Mercury rules karma (as the ruler of Gemini) and its retrograde in Leo will bring up a lot of karma issues especially our childhood karma, which is where we begin our karma journey. I know we like to think that our karma path starts when we’re 18 or 21 and we get our karma card with instructions as we enter adulthood, but our karma starts pre-birth and we experience the full aspects of our karma path during our childhood. No wonder so many have such difficult times as children and have challenges with their families. Remember our family is our karma partner, we have our first karma experiences with them. As unfair as that may seem, it is the truth.
And with both Mars and Jupiter in Gemini (the sign that rules karma), the karma theme is going to be very active in August. Not that we are going to have more karma, but we can use this aspect to decide whether we are willing to continue to live under our karma umbrella or free ourselves now. We have the support for karma freedom in August, we just have to take the steps to change the karma and to create new karma-free paradigms for ourselves.
And we have the ongoing Saturn and Neptune aspect in Pisces, overseeing all of the activity and ensuring that we keep our spiritual and material energies in balance and stay grounded throughout this process. Saturn retrogrades until December 1, taking us back over the spiritual ground of integration but with alignment, balance, and grounding.
Some people say that Saturn in Pisces is a real energy downer but I disagree. Saturn in Pisces with Neptune is going to help prevent many from using spirituality as an escape route and instead, continue the work of integrating our divinity into our humanity in a balanced, expanded way so that our spiritual presence is part of our physical reality and it doesn’t act to replace our pain with temporary solutions.
If we are going to engage in healing we need to keep that energy moving so that we achieve wholeness and energetic congruence. Our healing path must have a finite and final purpose and result because we have spent far too much time in healing cycles that never end and that keeps us enmeshed in 3D karma paradigms for far too long. And with people who do not contribute to our joy. If we want to integrate 5D we have to get rid of those people and situations that are interfering with, slowing down, and negatively impacting our ascension path.
Here is an interesting insight – Neptune went into Pisces in 2011 and it is the only one of the outer planets that has not changed sign since that time. While everything else has shifted and we have seen major energy movements since 2011, Neptune has held a steady presence in Pisces, shining that light as a beacon of enlightenment and grace, reminding us of our ultimate destination and of the force that is with us always, guiding and supporting us along our ascension path.
The full moon on August 21 is at 27 Aquarius with a near exact Alpha Omega portal with Pluto and the Sun and Mercury are involved too. This will hold the 5D space that Pluto has opened in Aquarius while Pluto retrogrades into Capricorn next month.
Can you see the theme of the action here in the month just before Pluto goes back into Capricorn for a final time in this cycle? This is an example of multi-dimensionality, the integrated 3D/5D paradigm that is at the center of the ascension mission. We are not destroying 3D so 5D can take over, ‘Ascension is an integration, not a takeover,” as I always say.
We are looking at karma and new perspectives, blessings, challenges, reminders of our journey and helpful guideposts along the way, all jumbled together. What holds them together in August is the Mercury retrograde that starts August 4 and ends August 29 – yes it lasts the WHOLE month.
The theme of August is polarity vs duality, integration, resurgence, and spiritual vitality. It is a month that is lit up with high vibe energy, big vibes, creativity, new perspectives, and a whole lot of potential. The presence of so many helpful energies with the planets and the new potential of the energy we received in July is very supportive of our ascension path, which we could use right now, as the world continues to experience the final throes of 3D dis-integration and opens up for new energetic alignments.
The best way to use August’s energy is to rekindle our creativity and imagination, have fun again, learn to let go with trust and grace, knowing that what we let go of is creating energetic space for something else. See letting go not as a loss, but as a gift to yourself and to whatever you are letting go of. Be inspired and bold this month, be open to receiving new energies and allowing your light to shine. Awaken your inner lion or lioness and let the roar of your joy echo throughout your reality.
Call in the lion’s energy of courage, nobility, leadership, and boldness and use it to start something new, explore different potentials, open a new possibility, and remember that you are the powerful and empowered author of your reality. Your first responsibility is to yourself, you are the caretaker of your energy and your frequency and vibration. You can be of service to others as an inspiration but avoid the Martyred Healer trap of being in service to them.
Everyone is energetically sovereign and is in control of their energy field and energy flows. No one has ‘no’ energy, some people would rather use your energy than theirs because it’s a higher vibe and it feels better to them. Avoid being the Martyred Healer because you feel sorry for someone. Give them the benefit of learning to find their own energetic resources and to awaken and use their own power. Let go of your energy anchors and spread your wings. It’s time to fly and to shine big.
