Lena Stevens - Patricia Liles - New Moon Update 11-18-17 - Nov 16, 2017

Dear Friends,
New Moon is Saturday, November 18 at 4:42 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST)

The theme for this new moon is creating positive change out of challenging circumstances. Anything that has been a hardship for you and could be seen as a negative experience can be used as a powerful agent to shift into something new. This is a new moon and will support anything new. Take the pieces of the old, whether an old dream, an old life, or challenging lessons, and use the power of those experiences to fuel what wants to emerge from the ashes.

It is a time where healing that comes from a shift in attitude and reaction is on the table. We may be triggered again, the same way we were during the time of the eclipse (actual trigger point on November 20) so take advantage of the opportunity to reset what needs it. As you turn the soil of your life, focus more on the gifts and inspiration you are discovering than what you regret or feel bad about. Do a practice every day from now until the solstice on December 21 of dreaming an improved life.

Blessings,

Lena.

Scorpio New Moon

Sun and Moon in Scorpio ~ 26º

Saturday, Nov. 18, 4:42 AM Mountain Standard Time

(Nov. 18, 11:42 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

With New Moon cycle in Scorpio, we have a powerful opportunity to do our healing work. A water sign, Moon always points to the emotional realms and the gifts awaiting below the surface waters if we are willing to submerge our awareness. Scorpio is the true lover of diving to the depths and exposing what is the source of our resistance, withholds and defensive postures. What are you protecting from exposure this Moon? Scorpio is emotionally instinctual and sensitive to how people hold and use their power.

Scorpio represents the energies of our personal power, the transformative cycle of death and rebirthing, sexuality, and financial areas involving others like debt, taxes, loans, inheritance and wills. It rules the organs of elimination and the sex organs and related diseases, and health-wise, Scorpio is known for its strong recuperation and healing power. These areas we may rather keep to ourselves, private, or hidden unless we can fully trust the other. Scorpio is unapologetically private.

Now, I say this is a Moon for healing because there are two major aspects to the Sun and Moon:

-A beneficial trine to Chiron in Pisces

-A more difficult to integrate quincunx to Uranus

Chiron is here to turn our spiritual straw into gold with the help of Scorpio’s transformative ability. Go deep and let yourself be healed and let your ability to heal others flow. Any psychological insights you are able to excavate in the next month will serve the depth and power of your soul work. If you can take a risk, be vulnerable and make a bid for power at this time, you just may come away feeling more passionately alive. It’s also a good time to gain mastery over your compulsive behaviors and fears of commitment to others or your goals. Uranus in challenging aspects is just the fuel we need to take those risks and make those declarations to align with our own best self-interests.

Venus and Jupiter have just made a heart-expanding conjunction in Scorpio earlier in the week. Our love is deep, loyal; we are connected to fields of spirit greater than ourselves. It’s seen in our actions, felt in our interactions. Scorpio is our ally to destroy, eliminate, let go in order to heal the past, recreate, begin anew with passion. We use our shamanic will and desire to create magical healing for ourselves, others, and to those all the way back through our ancestral lines. Call on your dark feminine power in Scorpio New Moon. Invite in Kali and rattle your necklace of skulls. Let Pele purify you in her fires and begin again. Invite Lilith to be with you in claiming your freedom and sexual power.

Saturn is spending its last degrees in Sagittarius traversing the Galactic Center ~ the center of our Milky Way galaxy at 26-27º. We have not had a major planet here in more than a decade when Pluto last traversed this powerful black hole at the center of our galaxy in 2007. Tremendous economic, political, social, psychological and spiritual transformation has unfolded from that time until the present. Now Saturn, Keeper of Time, where we receive our maturing through discipline, focus and responsibility is crossing this powerful portal downloading inspiration and vision to us while revealing the meaning and purpose of our existence at this time of transition. Saturn will be changing signs in December moving on to Capricorn for two years, and we will begin bringing our visions into physical reality.

Neptune in water sign Pisces is in sweet aspect to both Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio magnifying and supporting the healing power of love and the consciousness of oneness within ourselves and with all others. Drink deeply of this elixir that quenches our thirst for emotional and spiritual connection. Neptune’s energy and influence is strong as it slows to turn direct on November 22 after a 5 month retrograde. Neptune is our imagination, intuition, and spiritual wisdom. Both our idealism and our addictive indulgence are ruled by this nebulous, gaseous planet. Let your artistic and creative channels guide this fluid energy. We can look forward to Jupiter bringing his exuberant, lusty energy into positive alignment with Neptune on December 2nd the same day Mercury turns retrograde until December 22.

The modern ruling planet of Scorpio is Pluto while the former, traditional ruler is Mars. In our New Moon chart, we find Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Libra in a challenging, maybe even crisis-producing square aspect. Mars’ impulsive, aggressive actions are somewhat tempered by being in Libra a sign of equanimity, fairness and negotiation. Mercury’s positive relationship to Mars could have a constructive influence on Mars, but most likely we will feel the urge to share and speak of our intense feelings to clear the waters of subterranean influences that have gone unspoken. Pluto is here to encourage letting the structures in our lives crack, split and move to make way for a more responsible way of being in the world.

Let’s keep one eye on November 20. That’s when the Sun in its last day of Scorpio squares the degree of that big total solar eclipse of August that crossed America from ‘…sea to shining sea’ at 29º Leo. These are trigger points releasing over time more of that reset energy. If you have planets at 29º of most signs, you will feel the effect most strongly.

Scorpio’s cycle is here to develop our resilience. Completions and endings are all around us. Some are painful, disturbing. What Scorpio illuminates is our power to respond. How we respond is our choice. Scorpio is about choosing your response to what life serves up. Challenging experiences deepen our wisdom. We can then hold more joy, more presence, more gratitude, more power.
