OPPOSITIONS TASK THE SUMMER SOLSTICE - JUNE 19-26 2019
Gimelstar Zodiac
Before the Summer Solstice, polarizing conflicts develop. The Mercury conjunction to Mars in Cancer is partile and in exact opposition to Pluto in Capricorn as the Moon transits Pluto. The opposing sides are well fortified! The Moon awakens sleeping powers as it transits Pluto. Many nations are undergoing a change in leadership.
Summary of Major Aspects
Friday June 21st - The Moon in Aquarius is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Venus in Gemini early today for active conversations, possibly revolutionary in nature, with a desire for more individual freedom. Saturn continues in the sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Neptune as administrative goals (Saturn in Cap) are applied to immigrants and the homeless (Neptune in Pisces). Also, with this aspect infrastructure plans go forward. Employment opportunities are made. The Moon is sextile aspect to Jupiter in Sag denotes an expanded sense of personal freedom, as the Sun transits into Cancer and the Summer solstice is achieved. (see chart image)
Summer Solstice
June 21, 2019
Saturday June 22nd - Venus in Gemini transits to the opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Jupiter in Sag and a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune to form a T-square configuration effective over the next 2-3 days. This will help give some relief to those who are oppressed (Neptune). Talk therapies gain ground in professional circles, while the use of drug therapies (Uranus in Taurus) is at a crisis point. The Moon transits into Pisces and trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to the Sun for a greater empathy.
Sunday June 23rd - As the opposition aspect between Venus in Gemini and Jupiter in Sagittarius reaches partile (exact degree), Neptune at the focal point, and a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to each puts a pressure on us to compromise. Though the disagreement may be friendly, a compromise might involve giving up some cherished ideals. The difficulty comes with understanding the viewpoint of the partner or adversary. This could be a political discourse or family feud. It may involve plans for the day or the week, or even life changing events. The danger is that it could grow in disproportion if there is not a willingness to empathize with the other negotiating party. As the Moon in Pisces transits to the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Neptune later in the day, we are inclined to dissolve all hard feelings or reject a solution as impractical. It is important to deal with problems with empathy to find the satisfactory outcome.
Monday June 24th - The Moon moves ahead in Pisces from the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Neptune and sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Saturn in Cap to a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with Mars and Mercury in Cancer. Having overcome the hurdle with a successful negotiation, there is a willingness to act in a harmonious way to achieve a desired goal. The Moon ingress to Aries late in the day (2:39 GMT) with new plans and goals for a vision of the future.
Tuesday June 25th - The Moon in Aries and a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun in Cancer for the 1st quarter Moon phase - there is possibly a crisis, as inner conflicts develop. Before the day gets underway, some adjustments to the planned events are necessary. The Moon conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Chiron helps us get in touch with our own experience and wisdom, as the situation becomes more intense with a semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, sharp) to Uranus in Taurus. With deep insight, the unusual aspects of the conflict can be explored and hopefully resolved.
By the end of June we will be walking into Eclipse season, but if we rewind to the start of the month there is a lightness and brightness that will be guiding us forward.
The first major cosmic alignment for June 2019, is the New Moon which falls on the 3rd in the sign of Gemini.
Eclipses are not meant to be feared, but rather celebrated as they put us where we need to be. They are like the hand of the Universe coming down and helping us to straighten things out and get things in order.
On this Sagittarius Full Moon, we are going to be given a gentle nudge in the right direction, so be sure to pay attention, as this Full Moon will be preparing us nicely for what's to come in July.
Despite the looming Eclipses, June's Full Moon is a friendly one and will feel different from the string of potent Full Moons we have had since the start of the year.
On June 21st, the Sun will enter Cancer signaling the Solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the official start of Summer, and in the Southern Hemisphere, this is the official start of Winter.
As the Sun moves into Cancer, we are being called to get in touch with ourselves and to think about how we wish to channel our energy.
Are we channeling our energy into things that fill us up and make us feel good? Or are we wasting our energy getting angry and fired up over things we have no control over? Cancer is a very watery, intuitive sign, so while the Sun is in this placement, it is time for all of us to lead with our hearts and to get in touch with the power and wisdom that can come from our emotions.
Our emotions can be the GPS to our soul, so it is important for us to honor how we feel, process and release emotions we don't want, and welcome in the emotions we do want. By denying ourselves the right to feel and the right to experience all emotions of the rainbow, we deny ourselves the opportunity to understand and peer into the wisdom and truth that emanates from our soul.
On this same day, Neptune goes retrograde which gives us a total of four planets in
retrograde.
While we don't feel these particular retrogrades on a day to day level, we do feel them on an internal level and they cause us to feel more reflective.
Neptune is the planet of art, creativity, magic, and spirituality. It also represents the veil between illusion and reality.
Neptune's energy is actually quite strong all through the month of June, and while retrograde, it is going to be helping us to sort through areas of our lives that we feel a bit foggy or confused about.
This is a wonderful time to journal and document your feelings or dreams, as these insights are likely to come in handy as we take this journey under Neptune's energy.
Overall, June is a peaceful month where we can start seeing the wheels turning for what the Eclipses will bring. This is a time to collect information, sort through fact from fiction, and to figure out what we want to hold close to our hearts as truth.
