Lena Stevens - Solstice Update 2020 - Dec 19, 2020

Dear Friends,

Solstice is Monday, December 21 at 3:02AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).

This is a very powerful solstice with astrological aspects and other influences that mark it as an important transition and initiation into a new cycle. Whatever you have been struggling with, whatever is dissolving and changing in your life, this is the time to let the struggle go and turn your focus to what is inspiring and possible for the future.

This is where weaving a new reality can find a strong anchor and we can all begin to point our compass in a new direction. The next months and years will begin to unfold and manifest what we dare to dream up at this time. So, keep the big picture in mind when contemplating your intentions. Discipline is crucial, especially for staying out of negativity and not aligning yourself with limited thinking. Honoring this solstice in some ceremonial way can give a new direction just the spark it needs to ignite the creativity necessary to fuel the new beginning.

Blessings to all of you for this Solstice!

Lena

You are invited to join us for a live Solstice Ceremony via zoom on Monday December 21 at 11AM Mountain Standard Time (MST)

This is a free event. There is no registration necessary. Due to possible limitations of using zoom, if you cannot connect successfully, you will all receive a link to the recording a couple of hours after the event that will be good for 24 hours (or until 4PM MST Tuesday, December 22)

To prepare for the ceremony, we ask that you are able to be in a place that is quiet where you can build a little altar and light a candle or build a fire. If you have a rattle or drum, have it handy. Beforehand, write down on a piece of paper all the energies, experiences, things, negativity etc that you wish to release and forgive during the ceremony. We will be doing a clearing and a symbolic burning and then you can dispose of your list by either burning, shredding or burying it after the ceremony.

We are also going to break a pot as is traditional in some cultures and marks the end of a cycle or completion. If you have a ceramic or glass pot or container that can represent an old container coming to an end, you can join us in the ceremonial breaking or smashing of this object.

Those of you who have sage or copal or tobacco can also join us in smudging and clearing the old energy of the past.

Make sure to have some flowers on your altar as well as a small container of water and anything else that represents a sacred space for you.
