Lena Stevens - New Moon/Solar Eclipse Update 9-13-15 - Sept 11, 2015

Dear Friends,

The New Moon with a Solar Eclipse is on Sunday, September 13 at 12:42 AM MDT (Mountain Daylight Time).

This is close to midnight on Saturday, September 12 and for some time zones it is actually on September 12. So pay attention to the full moon and its influences on Saturday night.

This new moon is the opening act of the play called “now or never” or “what are you waiting for?” You may feel a desperate desire to get on with your life but without the understanding of what that means or how to go about it. Be careful with impatience and being irritated by what you perceive to be standing in your way. This is a great time of change but if you try and micromanage it from the position of ego attachment, you will be missing the gifts. So sit back, be clear, and have Spirit do the rest.

There is really nothing you have to do except recommit to your own faith and trust in your clear intentions and desires. Ask spirit for help and commit to stepping up and showing up and being willing to change what’s needed. This is a good day to anchor something of a spiritual practice and to honor your inner life.

Blessings,

Lena

Virgo New Moon/Partial solar eclipse

Sun and Moon in Virgo ~ 20º

Sunday, September 13, 12:41 AM Mountain Time

(Sunday, September 13, 6:41 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

Eclipse visible in southern Africa and to the penguins in northern Antarctica.

Shift happens! And Boy Howdy, this is a month of shifts.

September’s menu is offering:

– two eclipses – lunar and solar

– three planets changing direction – Venus, Mercury, Pluto

– two planets changing signs – Mars and Saturn

– one Equinox

Holding this eclipse period between New Moon and Full Moon on September 27 as an initiation will support us in receiving the gifts and lessons unfolding in our lives. Eclipses magnify the power of the Moon/Sun/Earth relationship intensely, and they reset our energetic bodies to the powerful present moment by interrupting the normal flow of light wave energy. Let it happen.

With this first eclipse in Virgo, we can dial up some of the benefits of the traditional archetype of Virgo “… purity, diplomacy, a mastery of words, a discriminating intellect, a propensity for study, a talent for investigation and analysis, skillful creativity and a keen appreciation of the mysteries of nature.”*

*from Mt. Astrologer, 2007 by Deborah Houlding

She’s an earthy, mental sign and keeps the earthly plane functioning with her good common sense, practical nature and attention to detail. We can ground the changing nature of this month by leaning into Virgo’s ability to look at day to day functioning and organize and improve it. We can draw on her deep dedication to serve – serving others and serving the common good. We can find delight and satisfaction in her love of crafting the beautiful and useful. We can draw up her love of efficiency and make our lives more functional with a well thought out system overhaul.

Jupiter, too, is running its course through Virgo for the next year emphasizing and expanding these same themes. Virgo rules our health and in particular the digestion system granting Virgo a gut-level instinct and feedback system that gets the attention of their finely tuned minds, and the result is clear judgment and practical action. Luckily, when they get over stimulated and their nervous systems (Mercury ruled) get overheated and anxious and send them out of balance, they have a natural affinity with alternative holistic healing, herbs and remedies. Virgo knows how to activate her body wisdom and align with natural beauty for her own healing. Virgo is the lover of small animals and is connected to anything related to agriculture, harvesting or areas of storage, and library/office/study areas. It might be time to ‘get things in order’, organize and improve your office, closet, garage, pantry, junk drawer, freezer or barn and enjoy the ripples of Virgoan satisfaction of a job well done. As said at Full Moon Pisces last, the North and South Nodes will be moving to the Virgo/Pisces axis in November triggering, reinforcing and prompting us to go deeper on this axis of ‘service and surrender’. Think spiritual and practical.

Chiron in Pisces is opposite the Sun and Moon in Virgo releasing from our hearts all the ways we have created being inhibited, shamed, discounted by being unseen, overlooked and dissolving the barriers we have created for ourselves. Chiron, like ‘the Hermit’ card in the tarot, shines the light of wisdom on how we hold ourselves small with those old patterns. Surrender of the old and hidden and compassion for all the ways our current world and fearful little egos hold ourselves outside of love is Chiron’s healing message from Pisces. Chiron in Pisces is the bridge to bringing in the energy of Spirit into our every day lives.

A lively aspect of the eclipse/New Moon chart is a grand trine in fire signs. Mars in Leo is in positive aspect to Uranus in Aries giving a strong, powerful boost to energizing our confidence and self worth. Pallas Athena will lend her creative intelligence to this fire trine to formulate and attain the goals we are suddenly so enthusiastic about.

On September 17 ~ three astro events

The exact opposition of Neptune and Jupiter occurs on September 17 in Pisces and Virgo. It’s been building since last Full Moon and will continue to be felt into the equinox period. These two planetary giants are pulling us into conscious awareness and multidimensional realities. This opposition is the middle of a 13-year relationship (begun just after Obama’s inauguration) to open and stretch our spiritual receptors.

Saturn is at play supporting and stabilizing the eclipses. Call up your discipline and maturity and inner authority. Be your own wise grandfather. We are completing a two-year sojourn through Scorpio from late 2012 until now of elimination, transformation, and restoration ~ a tough assignment. On September 17, Saturn enters Sagittarius for two plus years, and now we will seek the purpose and meaning of the long journey of life. Instead of looking down and deep into our psychological motivations and unconscious patterns of power, we will be looking up and out to the horizon as is Sagittarius’ way. Truth, conscience, faith (skepticism), generosity of spirit, freedom, morality and belief systems will be Saturn’s playing field now. Sagittarius presents as a much more positive/yang sign, granted, but be apprised of its leanings toward excessiveness and extravagance. Saturn’s movement to a new sign is a significant shift, transition and reorientation this month.

Also on September 17th, Mercury is retrograding until October 10th and completely out of this phase by Oct 25. With Mercury traveling for an extended time in Libra we have a period of time to reflect on and adjust our relationships, agreements, and the commitments we have made. We will hone our sharing and negotiation skills and rub up against viewpoints opposite our own. We will experience how Libra’s relationship to a peaceful mind brings us closer to the medicinal properties of beauty and harmony. Our finances may rear its many-headed forms highlighting what we value. We may find ourselves hyper rational, yet indecisive, distracted. This retrograde period is a time to bring your life into balance and to rebalance the thinking centers with the emotional, physical and spiritual centers-daily.

The Equinox on September 23 precedes the final total lunar eclipse visible in North/South America and Europe, Middle East, Africa too. Solstices and equinoxes mark the four most powerful points of the year. Whatever honoring you do of this balanced point of the Sun will be magnified and sent rippling through your life in the next season. Bless the summer for all her gifts, honor all you have harvested this year, bless the maiden of spring now a ripened, nourishing mother, release anything you don’t want in your Beauty backpack to travel into Libra and the new season.

09/17 Mercury retrograde at 15º Libra until 10/09

Saturn re-enters Sagittarius

Jupiter opposite Neptune 8º Virgo/Pisces

09/23 Equinox/Sun moves into Libra 2:20 AM Mountain Time

09/27 Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon 4º Aries 8:50 PM Mountain Time
