Lena Stevens - Pat Liles - The New Moon Update November 11 - Nov 9, 2015
Dear Friends,
The New Moon is Wednesday November 11, at 10:47 AM Mountain Standard Time(MST).
Watch for cranky irritation around any pressure you feel from others, yourself or your environment. Take a moment around this new moon for yourself and focus on something that needs completion. Cranky energy can always be transformed into a fiery inspiration that fuels action. Be physically active today and do something physical that expands your space, clears something out and provides you with an opportunity to take action towards something you desire.
Blessings,
Lena

Scorpio New Moon
Sun and Moon in Scorpio ~ 19º
Wednesday, November 11, 10:47 AM Mountain Time
(November 11, 5:47 PM Greenwich Mean Time)
Scorpio New Moon aligns and awakens us to the cycle of the great Mysteries. Scorpio holds the power of the water element with its emotionally penetrating receptivity and capacity for depth and magnetism; it doesn’t get more feminine than this. The mysteries of birth, death, deep inner transformation, sexuality, and our power held in shadow as yet unconscious to us are all represented by this Scorpionic Moon. The magnificent forms of destruction and creation are Scorpio’s realm. At this new Moon, Mercury is conjunct the Sun and the Moon calling us to examine closely the information and media we are exposing ourselves to, how skillfully we are using our gifts of speech to communicate, how we are perceiving the world through our information-gathering senses. Now is a good time to focus on how our ego voices are communicating within our heads. Is there a tendency to sting yourself like the scorpion with critical self talk? Can you identify where you disempower yourself and others through your thinking and speaking? If you can root out these unconscious mechanisms, you will go a long way to letting more love and power flow through you.
The Scorpio luminaries (Sun/Moon) are ruled by the transformative power of Pluto, The King of the Underworld. No wonder the topics are dense with power. Scorpio rules healing power – where we align with Spirit to transform dis-ease into miraculous health as we rise up out of the ashes and surrender old, stuck energy for the regeneration of health. We are all self-healing. The intertwining snakes (Scorpio) of the caduceus on a healing staff are the classic archetype for the medical professions. And the serpent power also represents the power of the kundalini force to heal and invigorate our lives if we provide a sacred container (our bodies, our lives, our dedicated service) where it can manifest. Chiron, the wise healer/teacher, is trining the New Moon and Mercury bringing forward the wise counsel of wholistic understanding – seeing all the elements that contribute to health or dis-ease – our thoughts, how we nourish ourselves, our habits that express a love (or lack of) towards our bodies, our relationship to Spirit and each other.
Ruler Pluto in Capricorn is in positive aspect (sextiled) to Sun/Moon/Mercury, so support is offered to go to the depths examining issues involving death, what you would like to lay to rest, making space for a giant emotional catharsis, letting out those ‘dark’ secrets you think are so shameful, releasing your sexual past and bringing vitality, commitment and presence to current physical relationships, rebirthing aspects of yourself, and making conscious and naming your psychological motivations. Scorpio thrives on intensity. Go for it!
The Pluto-Uranus squares of the last three years have completed their last of seven exact aspects in the spring and have been distancing themselves ever since. Now, some 4º apart, they begin to close that gap and get closer and closer. From late December until early March (eclipse month) they will be within a degree and a half of each other plenty close to continue the deep social-political transformation and innovations (and backlash) that have rocked the structures of our world. Those of you that felt the mid degrees of the cardinal signs 14-17º (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) get a big shake up at the spring equinox within your chart may revisit the issues that stirred at that time.
When Venus passes through 13-17º Libra from November 20-24, she too will be activating Pluto-Uranus issues of relationship truths, social justice, personal balance and financial crisis. You will be so glad if you have done your homework and are on stable footing in these areas.
Our next big planet alignment will make its first of three squares this month on November 26. (The second in June, the third in September ’16) Saturn is squaring Neptune ~ Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces ~ a 36-year cycle that began in 1989 and will culminate in 2026 with a square or opposition every nine years. This is the last or closing square and we will experience it three times over the next year. Squares bring a crisis, a reckoning of the elements involved and tension is created as we try to balance the two disparate qualities swinging from one corner to the other. Here sober, serious structured Saturn is at odds with spacious, idealistic and imaginative Neptune. Which is it going to be? Discipline and pointed focus (Saturn) or surrender and trust of a force greater than self (Neptune). We will watch our lives engaging both sides of the configuration. We may need the gifts of both sides of the equation at different times. Saturn says it’s time to get disciplined and responsible and create some structure in our lives if we ever hope to move toward what we want to create. And Neptune’s soft voice is calling to those who need to let go into inspiration and dissolve boundaries that hold us back from the magic and flow of trusting the unfolding of life through Spirit. There are big traps here, lessons awaiting our growth. Saturn can make us too responsible and rigid while foggy Neptune lets us slip off into our additions and escape into illusion about what’s really going on.
One last development this month, the nodes have moved on after 18 months from the Aries-Libra axis and the emphasis of the point of growth on relationship to self and other, and now we enter the Virgo-Pisces arena where our lessons for the next cycle of growth will be on service, health, discrimination, adapting, analyzing and applying our lessons, doing vs. being.
