Lena Stevens - New Moon/Equinox update 3-20-15

Dear Friends,

The New Moon is Friday March 20 at 3:36AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). There is a total solar eclipse at the same time visible in the Far East. The Spring Equinox is also on March 20, at 4:45PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). This is obviously a very powerful time and should be honored and not wasted.

The equinox is always a time of restart, renewal and setting up a good container for how you wish to show up as you move into the newness of spring. When you have a new moon at the same time, there is even a more powerful opportunity to anchor this new start. When there is an eclipse, it intensifies everything. So be careful what you ask for and how you ask for it. Make sure you are not unconsciously asking for something you don’t really want. We have been in a tricky time emotionally where fuses are short and people are reactionary. There is a lot of energy that can either be used for conflict or for productivity and breakthrough. Make sure that your intentions are not based on negative reactions but rather on inspiration and a desire for positive growth and improvement in your life.

This particular New Moon is an excellent time to move into a more powerful place in your life. The price for this is letting go and eliminating something in your life that has been holding you back. It could be a current situation at home or at work, or possibly something from the past you have not forgiven, or an old emotional wound, a past regret, judgment or disappointment. Eliminate this energy leak and you will find the freedom to move forward in your life in a much more powerful way.
Blessings,
Lena

Sun and Moon in Pisces 29º27’

Equinox ~ Sun enters 0º Aries   March 20, 4:45 PM Mountain Daylight Time
As of March 16, Pluto and Uranus have made their final exact square aspect, the seventh one occurring over a period of just a bit less than three years.  Not so fast with the sigh of relief, these are slow moving planets and even by the end of the year they will still be within 1.5º and holding powerful energies of change.  We have held this transition into a new way of being for three challenging years. We will feel the effect for the next decade.
Define it for yourself:
Pluto can express through stagnation, elimination or transformation; Uranus can call forth disruption, inspiration and innovation.  They are in an aspect of crisis and realignment – the square, 90º.  How have these energies passed through your life?  We definitely can see them playing out in the collective, social arenas.
What makes this final exact square unique is the presence of masculine Mars, God of War, the action principle of aggressive assertion and competition aligned exactly with Uranus in Aries the week before the square.  It has functioned to trigger whatever needs to be eliminated and transformed.  Whatever movie is being played out before you, triggering issues you had thought long dealt with is exactly the movie you need to watch.  By the time New Moon rolls around on March 20, Mars will be within a degree of dwarf planet Eris 22º Aries.  We will carry the energy Eris represents into the Equinox.  What does she represent? Nothing pretty.  Mythologically, she rules strife, discord, contention, rivalry.  She stirs up jealousy and envy and is felt “in every quarrel, feud, disagreement on the face of the Earth”!!!  She is the daughter of Nyx (Night) the one not invited to a grand royal celebration of the gods and goddesses who instead rolls a golden apple into the feast inscribed ‘to the fairest’ creating the rivalry among the goddesses that leads eventually to the Trojan War.  As Eris is the newest dwarf planet (2006) just outside Pluto and considered sister to Ares (Greek), astrologers are finding evidence that she holds the archetype of the feminine warrior and ‘shifter of paradigms’ those who are called from within to buck the system.
The aforementioned Pluto/Uranus collective challenge has been the prelude of a very powerful confluence of energies accompanying the first Equinox of the year.  The Sun is poised at the plane of the equator, leaning neither north nor south, so exerting a strong pull on the Earth’s magnetic and gravitational fields (and you).  Many powerful, ancient sites were built to align to the rising Sun in the east at this moment of solar balance that the Equinox represents ~ The Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Giza, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Tikal in Guatemala, and Cairn T near New Grange in Ireland to name a few. http://belsebuub.com/articles/ancient-sacred-sites-aligned-to-the-spring-equinox
The equinoxes and solstices are considered the four most powerful days of the year in solar-based Western astrology, and as such they represent huge portals capable of providing access to energies to overcome strong resistance and to launch our intentions in a powerful way.
What we have looming on the horizon is a powerful New Moon in its own right.  Both the Sun and the Moon are in the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces.  In addition, the Sun and Moon fall in the very last degree of the sign at 29º 27’ emphasizing the theme of endings, culminations, completions.  What needs to be let go? …Mostly the old story we’re telling ourselves and dragging around from the past. If you were to be called to the temple (as you might see this powerful astrological configuration at Equinox), would you want to bring your ‘poor me’ story and hurts and wrongs with you into this sacred space, or would you like to leave them at the temple steps and be available for the renewal and rebirth that the Equinox provides?
As we complete the zodiac cycle with both Sun and Moon in Pisces in all her fullness of the 29th degree, we have so much support within our reach.  Pisces is the most watery of signs meaning our emotional bodies are primary now.  She is the dissolver of all boundaries and separation that leads to the unifying of opposition and duality.  Her strong empathy and compassion allows merging, barriers to dissolve, becoming one with the other, a divine union with all that is.  Pisces, as the most spiritual aspect of ourselves, offers us this gift: surrender, letting go, merging with what is greater than our mini minds, a larger power.  Here is where intuition reigns and faith and belief in abundance and love find fertile ground within us.  Make no mistake, publicly standing in the truth of the invisible world surrendered to spirit makes you eccentric and vulnerable in our culture of scientific logic and proof.  With this great vulnerability engendered by surrender to what is greater than our individual selves and the willingness to dream a new dream of connection, respect for our beautiful mother planet, and relationship to the oneness of all living energies opens the way to holding a tremendous and magnificent power.  Like a serpent molting out of a skin too tight, momentary vulnerability leads to more freedom and power for the reborn creature.  The lesson in this 29º Pisces eclipse is surrender leads to vulnerability that leads to great spiritual power, connection and healing.  It’s the lesson of The Feminine and of the element water.
Reinforcing this is the yearly total solar eclipse created by the exact alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth at New Moon.  The eclipse momentarily resets the light of the Sun reminding us of the perfect order of our planet and providing a powerful opportunity to reset our intentions.  Our prayers are more powerful, our questions more easily answered, our intuitions more readily available, our lives more easily aligned with our dreams at this time.
Look to that powerful moment of Rebirth 13 hours after New Moon/Eclipse when the Sun shifts into 0º Aries and the zodiacal year is reborn at the Equinox to send out your intentions to Spirit, to clarify your path, to elucidate how you want to show up in the time from now to Solstice so Spirit can line up behind your intentions and actions as you take the first steps to create the life you want.  Pisces gives way to Aries as water gives way to fire.
As an aside, there is little or no air in these charts.  Stay out of the mental realms. Anxiety, inflexibility, resistance to change, defensiveness, the inability to hear others may be some of the symptoms that surface.  Air helps us see change as a positive, no matter how it shows up, and teaches trust in our spiritual evolution.
I don’t think any soul needs to know all the astrological signposts to feel the intensity of the current energy (although it helps!).  I think the fact that we no longer honor (and build temples to) these powerful alignments to the Sun and our planet as almost every culture in the past did says a great deal about the separation and suffering we experience in the current time frame.
We pass through this portal together strengthening ourselves and each other.  Create your own ceremony to honor the power of this time as well as joining together with others to celebrate the turning of the wheel.  We are blessed!
