Lena Stevens- Pat Liles - New Moon/Solstice Update 12-17-17 - Dec 15, 2017

Dear Friends,
New Moon is Sunday, December 17 at 11:30 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Take a little time here to really enjoy your life, however that shows up for you. For some, it would be making the time for friends, for others it would be carving out some personal alone time in nature or perhaps allowing for an adventure you have been putting off due to a lack of havingness. Whatever it is, this is YOUR time to be spent however you want to. This is also a great time to think about how you show up in the world and reflect on life task work, your passions and creativity, and where you may need to upgrade.

It is also a good time to make concrete plans for launching anything new especially projects, business ventures and undertakings you have been dreaming for a while. The motto for this new moon is “I am, I can and I will”. Revisit your practices and your discipline. Is it enough? Too much? Are you doing the things that really serve you? Or are you just acting out of old habits?

This new moon opens up an important portal for restructuring your dreams and intentions. How do you want to see your life as well as our global society for the next section of time? It is important to use this time between the New Moon and the Solstice on the 21st to reflect on what you wish to really upgrade and change and dream in for your life. As we approach the solstice remember to think of releasing any attachment you have to anything in the past. You can still keep the memories but the energy that holds you back from moving forward should be released, even from the positive successes and experiences.

Many blessings,

Lena

Sagittarius New Moon

Sun and Moon in Sagittarius ~ 26º

Sunday, Dec 17, 11:30 PM Mountain Standard Time

(Monday, Dec 18, 6:30 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

We find ourselves in the Sagittarius boat together with all the beings on this planet rowing across the black hole that is the center of our galaxy (27º Sag) gathering the vision and wisdom to take us across to new territory on the other side. Saturn, the Wise Ancestor, is in the bow at the powerful last degree of Sagittarius holding the lantern high to guide the way. We navigate uncharted territory. Our safety is not guaranteed. Risk surrounds us. We adventure into the unknown.

Chiron challenges and supports the crew to reach beyond the personal to compassionate healing of our ancestral separation and woundings to lighten the load of this ark we find ourselves in. We are seeking our wholeness. Searching for our instinctual and gut level connections to the natural world and cycles of life ~ birth, death, transformation.

High above we see a triumvirate of high frequency entities, Uranus, Pallas Athena, Eris, all in Aries guiding and encouraging us to break free, find our guiding principles and values, and use our intuitive senses to choose the direction of this vessel crossing the portal that is the center of the Milky Way.

See this time of year for what it is, a rarified traversing of the heart of the galaxy we inhabit. At Full Moon we saw Mercury and Saturn crossing the portal, now at New Moon, we begin this new cycle with the Sun and the Moon at 26º along with Venus at 21º Sag. Saturn spent four months retrograding from April to August this year 27º to 21º Sagittarius to give us time to reach for our vision, to find our source for meaning and inspiration, to draw down inside as much capacity for conscious awakening as possible. Now is Saturn’s final passing out of Sagittarius after three years, and it culminates with the Sun and the Moon joining Saturn at the black hole of the Galactic Center.

What house/area of your life has Saturn been traveling through showing you what you’re capable of and revealing that it’s more than you could have imagined. Here is where you have grown, paid the price of admission to gain greater strength and maturity, learned what it takes to strengthen your boundaries so you’re not leaking your focus, your energy, your power away. Under Sagittarius you’ve been learning to serve your vision by believing in yourself and just what it takes to be a true Sagittarius adventurer ~ FAITH that everything will turn out just as it should. And it does!

On December 19th, Saturn shifts into the sign Capricorn for the next three years taking us into late 2020. Solstice on December 21 will see the Sun enter Capricorn and conjunct Saturn that day! That’s a once in 500 years occurrence. This Solstice is the chart many astrologers use to represent the entire year, so it suggests a serious, responsible, ambitious and hard-working time in 2018. A good time for clearly setting out your goals and then just do what it takes to make them happen. We will most likely all encounter issues with our limitations and it’s how we handle ourselves in those times that will determine how much power we gather here in the material world and how much we enjoy the ride. That’s why it’s so important to do your visioning now at New Moon Sagittarius. The vision quest will be complete when we hit the Solstice point. It’s good to know in which direction you’re headed for your greatest good.

Jupiter as ruler of Sagittarius is challenging the axis of the North and South Nodes. In Scorpio for the next year, Jupiter encourages our growth and releasing of all obstacles and psychological baggage, ghosts from the past standing in the way of our being the radiant being we actually are. Jupiter is our ally in being steadfast in our optimism and enthusiasm during transformative events.

Retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius will move direct on December 22 just after the Solstice. Its retrograde has supported and contributed to our ability to envision our new path as it aligned with Saturn earlier in the month and pulled us inward. It will now begin retracing those steps and regain its original degree (29º) and move fully out of the retrograde shadow period on Jan 10 just in time for the beginning of the 2018 eclipse period to begin on Jan 31 with a total eclipse of the Moon in Leo at 11º.

All times are Mountain Standard Time (MST)
