Lena Stevens - Patricia Liles - New Moon Update 12-11-15

Dear Friends,

New Moon is Friday, December 11 at 3:29AM Mountain Time (MT).

This New Moon is the perfect opportunity to reset, to pray, to set intentions and to be involved in community in a way that is meaningful. It is important to look ahead instead of looking back. Forgiveness plays a big part today as you contemplate the challenges you have just been through. Take a deep breath and allow the goodness and love of the universe to penetrate into your soul. Honor that today is the first day of the rest of your life. How do you want to live it?

If you allow it, your personal medicine has the potential to be seen by others and nurtured by spirit. Say some prayers today for that to manifest. Stay away from self judgment and remember that with all the transition and changes going on within you and around you, you are only half baked.

This new moon supports a creative container for personal expression. There is a desire to be heard, not in an ego way but in an authentic yearning to be your unique contribution in this life. Don’t be afraid to dream big and to show up. Anything can happen. Decide that the “anything” will be supportive and wonderful.

Blessings,

Lena

New Moon in Sagittarius

Sun and Moon in Sagittarius ~ 19º

Friday, December 11, 3:29 AM Mountain Time

(10:29 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

We begin the last New Moon cycle of the year in Sagittarius that brings some elemental fire to our intentions. We can use that here in the Northern hemisphere as the slide to Winter Solstice on December 21-22 and the shortest day of the year is intensifying our desire to contract and go within to hibernate like bear. Sagittarius takes us on the long journey of looking for Truth. Meaning and Purpose get swept up in the quest. All indications suggest we are in a major transition in the next 10-15 years that will revamp our perceptions and beliefs that we have held for centuries. We have developed the intellectual centers to their highest potential which is to become conscious ~ conscious of Self, conscious of the creative force that co-creates this Earth plane, conscious of the invisible worlds of the elementals that are our helpers in waking up. Now we are challenged to bring that conscious awareness down into our hearts, into our relationships and into this physical world. We are challenged to balance the masculine and feminine expression in all aspects of life. Our poor intellects are having a difficult time with the shift. We’re still trying to analyze, understand, grok with our minds what is happening to our world as it has been known in the past. Shifting our magnificent cerebral mentation is not a simple task; it has served us well in most respects. But the time is upon us, as the monk said last night to ‘Relax the mind….’.

A Sagittarius New Moon is perfect for reflecting on our systems of beliefs, constructs that hold us rigidly in an old mindset. Sagittarius’ prodigious faith and optimism (also sense of adventure!) is going to be needed here at this time of major collective reorientation. With Saturn in Sagittarius for two and a half years, we will get just this kind of scrutiny and lessons about our mental affiliations. The religious hierarchy persecuted Galileo; scientists scoffed at Einstein about shifting belief systems. For us now, it’s time to honor our shamanic, indigenous peoples who have held the feminine pole and knowledge of the consciousness in all things in their cultures against great odds. They are our guideposts and teachers to come into alignment with our planet and each other.

As you can see, Sagittarius makes one wax philosophical…

So, if you managed to survive last week’s triggering of Pluto and Uranus by Mars without accident, head bumps or unexpected disruption then hopefully the New Moon chart should be easy enough for you. With the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius, we look to Sag ruler, Jupiter, and how it’s aspected. Usually full of optimistic ideas for expansion and exploration, freedom loving, and open minded, we find Jupiter challenged and in unfortunate square to the Sun and Moon making the jovial one touchy, cranky, pompous, a bit tactless and excessive. At best, Jupiter is great at finding solutions and expanding beyond limited thinking to the big picture. A crisis precipitated by Jupiter may reveal our judgments and prejudices. Jupiter in Virgo (22º) is also opposed to Chiron in Pisces. With Chiron also squaring the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius, we have a locked-in T-square formed. We’re looking to heal something here. Where Sagittarius and Jupiter are concerned, it often has to do with global, international influences. Law, religion, higher education issues can get activated. Travel, freedom, and the far horizon look inviting, even necessary. Your desire for learning something new may come into conflict with wanting more freedom in your life. A deep, spiritual rift in our lives is feeling pressure. We are being asked to surrender that nugget in our gut we have been carrying maybe for lifetimes. Can we open up a space in our lives to, as the Native Americans say, ‘forgive the unforgiveable’? Sagittarius is going to move us to ask ‘where will our peace come from?’

Let’s look to the inspiration gifted by Venus and Neptune as they form a gift-giving trine of ease and grace in water signs ~ Venus in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces (7º). Neptune is considered the ‘higher octave’ of Venus (just as Uranus is the ‘higher octave’ of Mercury). Think of ‘higher octave’ this way: as consciousness increased on our planet, new planets were ‘discovered’ in our solar system that represented the frequency shift. Venus’ love and relationship became Neptune’s compassion, transcendence and divine unity of all things; Mercury’s information and thought processing became Uranus’ inspired genius and liberation from calcified ideas. Take the Venus/Neptune lead when New Moon and holidaze seems sure to overwhelm, drop into your heart space and bring to the fore what you love and are grateful for as a balm for these times. Let the sweetness of the emotionally centered aspect of the feminine nourish and support you. Your greatest resources in these times of foundational shift are finding your own love and strengthening of your relationship to Spirit.

Let’s look ahead to what Mercury is up to. This swift-moving planet governing our thoughts, speech, communication, and interaction with our daily environment will also be triggering both Pluto and Uranus on Dec 19-20th first conjuncting Pluto then squaring Uranus. Anxiety and stress may uptick at that time, so monitor your thoughts and words, drive mindfully and have compassion for those heavily taxed by this added pressure. Heads up for a Mercury retrograde that begins on January 5 at 1º Aquarius and turns direct on January 26. Jupiter in Virgo will also begin an extended retrograde from January 9 to May 10.

Jolly ole St. Nick may be in for some high times as Full Moon in Cancer falls right on the Christmas holiday – December 25th magnifying the emotions of the day. Uranus also turns direct that day. Honor the Winter Solstice as one of the four major power points of the solar year! Release what has gone before. Welcome the returning Sun!

Blessings on Us All!
