Simon NightStarr – Divine Self: Attention - Seth Dennon - August 8, 2013

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-L2qAdMQlT2Q/URiC0ls4A2I/AAAAAAAAYsg/paCtD7iXXQ0/s1600/OceanWaves6ClarkLittle.jpgA very wise one once said, “Be independent of the good opinion of others.” What did he mean? To be free of attachment to the beliefs of your brothers and sisters. All human thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, religions, philosophies, sciences and “facts” are but opinions, which are simply interpretations. This applies universally to all channelings as well. It applies equally to all creations, for by definition all created things are “channeled” into material existence. Divine Truth is not an interpretation and cannot be encapsulated in thoughts, ideas, systems, nor in words. God’s Truth doesn’t depend upon anything in creation.

The key to manifestation is attention on desire. When desire is birthed within the sea of attention–that is, within Consciousness–universes are born. In truth there is but one attention: Divine Attention. This Universal Attention is Self-aware; It is Pure Awareness. Therefore, in order to master being independent of the beliefs and opinions of “others,” you must absolutely learn to sustain your personal attention on the Self, your Inner Being. You must “come home to yourself,” which is coming Home to the Spiritual Heart of your very Being.
Your spiritual development is never about “others.” It is solely about re-member-ing your True Home, which in the illusion is a movement of integration with family, the Universal-Soul Family of which all beings are members of. Now I shall return to some “plain talk.” You all seek a greater sense of liberation, even your “Christed” ones, your bodhisattvas in human embodiment. You all desire a more expanded sense of fulfillment. Ironically, this can only be truly satisfied through surrendering attachment to your limited sensory satisfactions. In other words, you cannot cling to bronze and truly expect to obtain GOLD.
If the objects of your attention are not embraced with the fullness of your Spiritual Heart, this simply means that–as Consciousness–you are still holding onto a perception of yourself that appears to be “less” than the Infinite Whole of What-You-Really-Are. In plain talk this means that you are still seeking to release resistance; you are by no means “finished” with this lesson of surrendering to Unconditional Love, no matter how much in your thoughts and words you may claim to be “free” and loving of yourself and others. Even the so-called “perfect masters” are not finished with further growth and manifestation, whether in your physical world or in “higher” dimensions.
Your sustained attention on any subject is what you feel attached to. Whenever you may feel a strong urge to “debate” any of your brothers and sisters, know that you are actually pushing against your own Self. However, remember, as the Universal Attention (God) is free of attachments, your True Self doesn’t really push back, for God doesn’t defend nor offend. Defense and offense are solely aspects of the illusion; they have NO PLACE in Heaven. Understand this, My children. Your perceived defenses and offenses are not real to Me. This Divine Self has no need for such games, and since you are One with Me, in truth, neither do you, once you realize this.
Being naturally unconfrontative, your True Self is totally free of all conflict. It is the human mind that creates such oxymoronic concepts and terms such as “healthy debate,” etc. You are not here, now, to debate anyone. Nor are you here to agree with what (to you) appears to be “outside” of you. Many of you reading this are quite aware that you manifest your own personal reality, yet continue to deny your own responsibility for “attracting” the very things that you object to! You absolutely manifest everything that appears to happen to you. The “law of attraction” is not partial; it operates 100% of the time in your human reality, whether you personally believe it not, or are even aware of it or not.
Nothing bad can come from “turning the other cheek.” Jesus did not teach running away from your “problems”–nor did any other embodied spiritual master–yet this is the conclusion that most humans have arrived at when it comes to their personal interpretations of this particular spiritual lesson. “After all,” many of you feel, “Jesus turned the other cheek, and look at what happened to him! He was crucified!” This is a far cry from the truth of the matter. There was no “real” crucifixion. It is a myth of human consciousness. Even if there WERE a “physical” crucifixion event, so to speak, your own most enlightened, contemporary human physics clearly shows that this is not actually the case, being a holographic hallucination of the mind. In other words, to remind you, the “objects” of your attention are not “solid” as you often assume them to be.
The true spiritual lesson of “turning the other cheek” is simply about practicing shifting your attention from object to subject, which specifically means choosing love instead of fear. “Subjective” in this sense means the “sub-object,” the underlying foundation of all “objective reality.” Discover within yourself what is REAL. What is REAL is that which is not subject to decay and the so-called laws of creation–not even the “law of attraction.” Time and space cannot hold Infinity. Again, no ill can come about from shifting positively. Turning the other cheek is raising your vibration; they are one and the same. You are not forsaking humanity when shifting your attention from “problems” to “solutions.” Your fight against ANYTHING is a fight against your own True Nature, and this is a losing fight as all fights are.
This Divine Self does indeed encourage deeper introspection of that which humans call “problems,” when you feel inspired and courageous enough to examine them in more expanded, psychological detail. I say “psychological” because all things in creation are of the psyche, the soul, the Universal Mind, and thus everything you experience in your world is psychological, including that which you call problems and diseases. There are no exceptions in Consciousness. For emphasis: ALL IS CONSCIOUSNESS. However, in your deep examination of things, it is suggested here that you avoid the ego’s urge to always intellectually objectify and label what you discover within yourself. All studies are examinations of oneself. You scrutinize yourself–your own personal attention–never really your brothers and sisters. The cosmic joke here is that when you *think* you are looking “outside,” you are always actually looking “within” your own conscious awareness.
In the Carlos Castaneda teachings there is that which is called the “second attention” (which includes “non-ordinary reality,” “non-ordinary perception,” such as that which some call “astral,” etc.). This is indeed valid in terms of the illusion that you appear to individually and collectively experience as real, for the Universal Consciousness plays a dream-game in which It segregates Its own Awareness. ATTENTION and INTENTION are closely linked; indeed they are actually One. Your True Attention/Intention is Unconditional Love, which is God, Heaven, Home.
Mastery of attention is mastery of love. In this state you are not concerned with opinions. In practical human expression of this state, this means that you are not deeply concerned with either your own beliefs nor with the beliefs of others. In this state you do not lie to yourself and claim to have no beliefs and no teaching to offer, which is quite popular in many “non-dual” communities. You all have beliefs, and you all teach, for to teach is to demonstrate; and you are all constantly demonstrating your beliefs, your personal understandings, period. True mastery in a very high-level, practical sense does not affirm, “I AM not religious, I am spiritual.” You are not fully understanding spirituality through trying to convince others of your spirituality. Such statements are made only to further convince YOURSELF, your own “subconscious mind.” True religion IS spirituality; they are One and the Same. This is not human-made religion, but it certainly can be expressed through formal, “objective” religion. The compassionate way of the Spiritual Heart is true religion. :)
Be ever more mindful of your reactions. You ALWAYS react, even when you or another may appear to be “unreactive.” (There are fine, subtle dimensions of Consciousness of which you are, for the most part, humanly unaware.) Again, as I have reminded before in previous discourses–and shall remind again–there is no “un-” or “non-” in your human experience (which is why all human expressions of love are expressed with some degree of condition, through the “human condition.”) All reactions–all subjective realities–exist simultaneously, and the True Subject of all is the reality of LOVE. If you “object” to the word “love,” you may choose another word, such as Consciousness, Awareness or God.
It really doesn’t matter, for the wisdom of your Higher Self understands what I AM teaching here. Therefore, instead of trying to convince yourself that you will not react to something in particular, learn to be a more consistent silent witness of your own reactions, for it is only in this way that you are “unreactive” in a knee-jerk, defensive sense. Your reactions are but CHOICES, DECISIONS, so decide–if you will–for the peace of God, your natural state of well-being.
Much more on the subject of *ATTENTION* is forthcoming. Indeed, every channeling really involves this subject, as all subjects inherently have to do with attention. May you shower more loving attention–more APPRECIATION–upon your In-dwelling Being, as It eternally does so for you, and thus upon your brothers and sisters in all their forms; plant, mineral, animal, human-imal and all spirit beings everywhere in creation.
Namaste.
