Dana Mrkich – Imagine The End Of Your Life – To Live Your Best Life – 10 July 2013

DanaMrkichImagining the end of your life sounds a bit morbid doesn’t it! Yet it is one of the best ways to get a reality check on how happy you are with how you are living your life, and gives you an opportunity to change things now, while you can.”Close your eyes and imagine yourself at the end of your life. Someone is there to meet you as you begin the process of crossing over to the other side. As she or he walks you from this world to the next they ask: ‘What did you do on Earth? Did you do everything you wanted to do? What kind of a person were you? Did you love and enjoy your time there?’ How do you reply?
You look back at all you have done, at all of who you have been. You look back at the way you treated yourself, and the way you treated others. You look back and see the way you allowed others to treat you. You see where you let yourself fly and be your best, and where you held yourself back or let yourself or others down.
From this perspective what would you change? What would you do differently? Is there some part of you that would like to express itself more powerfully? Are there any changes that are crying out to be made?
How would you like to be remembered? What is the legacy you would like to leave behind on this Earth? Find a quiet space and imagine you are someone that has been chosen to write a speech about your life once you have passed on. What kind of a person were you? How did you use your time? In what way did you share your gifts? What did your life look like?
During their last moments on Earth people often realise what really matters: Love yourself and be true to yourself. Love others. Love your life and live it to the full. Appreciate every day. Laugh more. Stress less. When we allow ourselves to look back on our life, before we have completed it, we get to see what really matters while we still have time to do something about it. If you are still alive, you still have time to do what you came here to do.”
